stuff

I am at Woods Hole from now until thursday. We shall see how I like being gone for that long. I like it here so far. I did something very decadent today and bought another AC power supply for my laptop. I am getting a little overlap between MIT pay and WHOI pay which is kinda nice.

I also bought a charger for my cell phone to keep here, and a hairdryer etc.

Sigh. So much acquisition with so little effect. But it will be nice not to have to schlep that stuff around each week. Ok time to get back to work.

papers

I have only read one paper so far and I am thoroughly exhausted. On the basis that it will take me about an hour to read each one I figure I can get one more read today. It would have helped if I had gotten to WHOI earlier, but I was delayed by buying some supplies so did not make it to the lab until 12:30. I am taking a small break before reading the next one. It is strange though, these are not nearly as challenging as the ones that were just basically pure math that I used to read but somehow I just feel drained. I have a low level headache and feel basically icky. I wonder if its from lack of sleep. Last night neither I nor my SO slept well. Apparently I kept him up tossing and turning and mumbling in my sleep. I told him he should wake me up when that happens, but he said he wouldn't, that he would never wake me up because I am his girlfriend.

Sigh. Silly boy. Its no good if both of us don't sleep well.

I think I got around 5.5-6 hours but it definately wasn't enough, even when you add the 45 min or so I had on the bus. Hopefully tonight I will sleep well.

I just want to take a nap and work later, and maybe I will do some work later but I feel like I should work here until the last bus leaves to take me to the village... sometime around 6.
