TAing is fun!!! Kinda

So I am a TA for a class called Data and Models. Sorry let me correct that. I am a half time TA for that and a half time TA for a class called Written and Oral Communications. These are both classes that I took last year for the master's. And they are both classes my advisor doesn't think need TA's. Well he is right for the second, but not for the first. And now he is mad because I have been trying to help the students get stuff done more efficiently by suggesting that they use faster computers then the networked ones here... like say their laptops. So now I have told them not to do their homework on their own machines which I think is assinine but whatever.

I have been teaching them how to script and hack into the code for the homework problems so that it does what they want it to do. I myself am trying to learn some perl scripting for the fun of it.

Research is getting really frustrating. I am so totally stuck. And I don't know how to reason my way out of it.

Ok I am going to go talk to the man now.
