arachne8xSunday night I am tryiing to get ready for a "mock thesis defense" that I am supposed to do on Monday. And suddenly matlab will neither read nor make pcolor plots. A type of plot essential to my project.
Shit. So I got to go in to work way early to use the computer there before my talk. I was nervous enough that if I got 6 hours sunday night I was lucky.
So my mock thesis defense went as I expected. I had made some mistakes in the work I did and now I am starting over again. This time it is really my fault although it still frustrates me that I have to redo things.
My advisor then lectured me for a while about stuff.. as usual.
I then went and did physical therapy that I usually do Monday mornings. It took 2.5 hours. I was pretty exhausted by the end.
Then I had a great night. The SO and I went to a pretty good italian place and I had lobster ravioli in a tomato crab cream sauce. For dessert we went to Mike's Pastry... the place to get cannoli in Boston. We bought the cannoli but were not hungry enough to eat them. Then this morning the boy said that he can't eat sweets in the morning so I should have them both. Which was nice but I was sad that he didn't get one. And he didn't sleep well last night either. I have a feeling he will need extra kindness tonight after work. So I got him a surprise. Lilt soda which he loves.
So all in all things are kinda good and kinda frustrating. But I am doing much beter than over the summer.
