Once again I am being the networker. I introduced one of my friends from school to the wonderful world of larping. Now she is probably going to join whitewolf. A friend who came to larp for the weekend has met some of my other friends and is now going to be playing geeky games with us. Those of you who have known me long know that this is what I do. I bring groups together.

I havent gotten any work done this weekend but I have been thinking about my research a lot. I talked to some friends about it today and realized that once again it really helps me to talk about my research... I found ways to explain what I was doing and why in much better words than I usually use. I really find this stuff interesting although i realize in reality it is pretty boring... I guess I just don't have a glamourous job.

Last night after a fun game we all went to IHOP. It was cool until a big fight broke out. At least 6 people in the fight and a couple of them had guns.... Luckily none of them were fired. Several tables were knocked over though and our group was kinda penned in by the whole thing. Thank god no one got badly hurt.

When the whole thing started I basically booked it.... left as soon as possible. I think the reason I had the need to flee is because I used to date someone with a bad temper. When it went off he couldn't tell friend from foe. I got used to hiding under things far away until the fight was over. Everyone I guess was super worried about me. I was fine and in no danger. It was a weird feeling. Haven't been that physically afraid for a while. It just seemed pretty probable that the fight could evolve and one of us could have gotten hurt. I was actually shocked that only one other person in the group decided to get the hell out of there...
