arachne8xYesterday I gave my bf his birthday present. For those of you who are curious I had a t-shirt made for him based on a lovecraft inside joke between him and some friends. They came up with a cereal called Myth O's and even had a cereal box made for it. I had the image put on a t-shirt and he was uberimpressed. We then went hat shopping... and i found a marvelous one, and then had dinner. It was great.
I am a TA right now and have been spending a lot of time with students. In some ways its a hassle but I like helping them. I have a new cell phone YAY!!! and if you need the number email me. Its cute and sexy and little. I love it.
Tonight I had fun doing laundry. Now I have clean clothes and sheets. Tomorrow its make up homework time.
and thurs is his real birthday. I am looking forward to that. I like being able to do nice things for him.
And then this weekend its friday night, sat and sun lovecraft based live action rp fun. I havent finished researching one of the npcs yet but it will be finished shortly. I am excited about all this but I'll tell you what. It'll be nice when I have only one thing planned for the weekend again. The girl is getting worn out.
BTW going to King Richard's Faire later this month. I wonder if it will be anywhere near as good as the Renn Faire I used to go to in Larkspur. I hope so.
Since I am not going to ICC I decided to spend about a third of the money I would have spent getting there and being there and to buy myself the rest of the garb that I have wanted since the first time I went to renn fest... holy shit 13 years ago. So I will soon be a pretty little wench. And y'all can all see the costume at halloween.
Anyway its time for bed soon. I am cheery although facing lots of icky work tomorrow. I hate being stuck in my research. The work isn't that hard if you have the inspiration and know what to do next. Right now I don't.

Don't buy KRF Garb!
Date: 2002-09-18 04:59 am (UTC)If you want some pretty ren garb to dress up in for the faire, come shopping in my tubs of clothing. I have some really nice things I will loan you for the day.
Things like dresses and shirts and cloaks are FAR cheaper to sew than to purchase. I would rather take a small commiszsion from you and sew you clothes than let you spend $80 on a chemise! I did that once long ago...sigh...
The only thing I Would recommend purchaseing at KRF, or any ren faire, would be a nice corset. I can't sew them. YET. But I do have the material for a steel ribbed corset Food Goddess and I are going to make in exchange for free babysitting.
