arachne8xI went to physical therapy today and talked to them about a program they do called Christmas in the City. It started as a desire to give homeless children and their families a nice holiday. Now they do all kinds of programs to help homeless families get back on their feet and make the difficult transitions that they need to make to become homeowners etc. Its a great org and totally volunteer. I am going to be trying to coordinate some groups at MIT to help out with them.
This is really important to me because homelessness is such a big problem in this city. I hope that it can help make a difference and I will feel good knowing that I can be a part of the solution.
