Today I tried to find out the test results from a recent blood test I had done to try to find out why I am always fatigued. The doctor said she would call me. She didn't. I call the office and find out that she mailed me the test results. Ugh, why couldn't she just have told me that she was going to mail them.

there is a reason I don't name names in this journal. It is so that I can talk about my life without censorship. I don't even use nicknames that people could decipher. This is my writing space and I will say what I want.

While names may not be used, it doesn't take a genius for one to figure out whom you are speaking of in the journal. If one knows a slight amount about your life, it is simple to deduce whom you are talking about. Thus while names keep a complete stranger from knowing of what you speak, people who are acquainted with you only need think a slight bit to know exactly what and whom you are speaking of despite the lack of names. While you are within your rights to say what you please in your own journal, so too are others completely correct in complaining if they feel that you are airing private issues publicly... This is, of course, just my opinion. But if you truly want things to be kept private, livejournal is not the place to vent your feelings about them.

Thank you

Wow, Anne is smart! (I think that was anne). She's saying the same thing I've been saying for months... If you don't want people to get upset about what you are saying, it's best not to air the dirty laundry out in the open.

Wow! Look at that. Jesse was able to deduce who I was despite the lack of names in my post (and vice versa). I admit the picture probably helped him figure out who I was, but this just goes to further prove my point. Lack of names in no way protects the anonymity of your friends in your posts. Most of the people who read and/or are posted about in your journal know or at least know of each other and have reasoning abilities higher than that of slugs. This allows us to fill in the correct names of those "nameless" people in your posts. Vent about people who don't read livejournal if you want. Perhaps they'll never find out about your rant. But omitting names of people from the posts when you know they read them just lets that person and the rest of us know of your argument. And if that person wished the matter to remain private, s/he know has every right to be upset.
